Bourgeau Right from below.
Grade & Length: IV, WI4R, 300m
Approach: Park as for Bourgeau Left in the Sunshine Village parking lot. The route is on the opposite side of the valley as the ski hill and is partly visible from the parking lot if you stand in the right spot. Hike up on the right side of the big avalanche path that the route is in. An hour or more to the base.
Route Description: Climb a series of great pitches to the top. The second pitch is the hardest, and many spots on the route can be quite thin. The route usually forms but the thickness of the ice varies from year to year. There are a few fixed anchors.

Descent: Rappel the route from fixed anchors & v-threads.
Gear: Screws. A bit of rock gear could potentially be usefull in a thin year.
Objective Hazards: Lots of avalanche hazard, see photo’s above. The huge slopes above are sometimes controlled by Parks Canada.
